Meet Our Pastors
Ray & Maria Gerthung
Pastor Ray was born in Youngstown, Ohio January 16, 1944. When he was 19 years old when he accepted Jesus as his personal Lord and Savior while in the Army.
Shortly after accepting Jesus, he was called into the ministry. He was first licensed in the Assembly of God, 4 Square, and lastly The Church of God. Part of his training was from an Independent Faith School, where he got called to go to Mexico after his training.
While in Mexico, he met and married the love of his life, Maria Delgado Gerthung, August 24th1969. Together they pastored for 9 years in Mexico doing evangelical work and in small churches.
The Gerthung’s moved to Wilder, Idaho in 1992 and then stepped into the Pastorate at Wilder Church of God in 2000 and have been serving the community ever since.
Ray and Maria raised 5 tall, handsome sons that love and serve the Lord. They currently have 16 grandchildren and 7 1/2 great grandchildren.
They continue to love, serve and shepherd Gods people in all that they do.
